A Magnum is a large format bottle which is equivalent to two standard 75cl bottles.

The Jéroboam wine or champagne bottle is able to hold four standard 75cl bottles of wine in Burgundy and Champagne. In Bordeaux however, it is equivalent to six standard bottles (a double magnum). Jéroboam was the first King of the northern Israelite Kingdom of Isreal after the revolt of the ten northern Israelite tribes against Rehoboam that put an end to the United Monarchy.
